The Maccabi Karate Guild, who we are.... Founded in 2005, the Maccabi Karate Guild (NSW) is a Maccabi NSW branch organisation made up of separate, Karate clubs operating within New South Wales that cater to any number of Jewish members. While being a registered part of Maccabi, we are each also affiliated with major national and international organisations and enjoy recognition of our philosophies, training methods and standards of excellence in teaching and competition world-wide. We are a non-profit organisation, banded together in the true spirit of Karate-Do, for the purpose of teaching, learning and perfecting the art of Karate while affording Jewish participants the opportunity to learn & compete in a welcoming environment. Club and Instructor Membership to the Guild is by invitation only and standards of excellence are high. Instructors are encouraged to attend weekly training sessions where we share teaching methods and ideas. This open and honest exchange, which transcends differences in styles or philosophies, has produced an unprecedented popularity with not only those directly involved, but their students as well.
